Sooooo last week we talked all about the 4 Vs that can make (or break) your brand.
Quick reminder they were:
Last week, we covered V #1 = values.
You learned that values are uncompromising truths and guiding principles that articulate what you stand for, and the primary driving force behind your brand, business, behaviors, and decisions.
You also learned that when consumers share your same values, it makes buying from you a much easier decision.
Assuming you took 10 minutes to mark down your values...today we are carrying on with V #2 —voice!
Your brand voice is how you convey your brand personality to your external audience; and that personality is unique to who you are, and what your business represents. It also helps you to stand out in this oversaturated business world.
Now...let me keep it real.
Too often are we looking to take on the voice of a brand that isn't true to who we are...which in essence causes folks to be confused, thus making it much harder for us to make the sale.
And that's a total no no.
So how do you unlock your brand voice? Well...answer me this:
HOW DO YOU WANT PEOPLE TO FEEL AFTER THEY'E HEARD FROM YOU?
For me, it's inspired, encouraged, fueled, ready to move!
Therefore, my brand voice has to support that by being uplifting, positive, energetic and vibrant, get it?
Overall your brand voice = your influence.
So what influence do you want to make on your people? And then tag descriptive words to that influence that will better guide your audience to get there (ex. an uplifting voice will guide folks to feel encouraged).
So! Take 10 minutes to think about it.
