What's Already in Your Hands?

Let me go ahead and say it plainly:

A lot of us are out here praying, planning, and pivoting like we’re empty-handed.

Like we don’t already have something to work with.

We keep asking God for a new idea… a new stream… a new direction…

And He’s like, “But what did you do with the last thing I gave you?”

Whew.

Here’s the truth:

Most people think they need to start from scratch to step into their next.

But more often than not, your next isn’t found in something new—it’s found in something neglected.

It’s in the gift you’ve been sitting on.

The idea you’ve been doubting.

The skill that comes so naturally, you forgot it was valuable.

The connections you haven’t tapped into.

The strategy you tried once, then walked away from too soon.

You don’t need more—you need revelation.

You need eyes to see that God already placed something in your hands.

And if you would pause long enough to look around, you’d see you’re more equipped than you thought.

“What’s that in your hand?” — God to Moses (Exodus 4:2)

Even Moses tried to claim he had nothing—when in reality, he had exactly what God was going to use to part the sea.

And guess what? So do you.

Real talk? I've had to learn this lesson over and over.

I used to think I needed to create something fresh every time life shifted.

New job? Gotta start over.

New season? Gotta invent something else.

New opportunity? Better build from scratch.

But lately? I’ve stopped defaulting to new. And instead, I’ve started asking, what have I already built that I can breathe new life into?

A previous offer.

A quiet idea.

An underutilized skill.

A brand I paused.

A connection I never followed up on.

You don’t always need new.

You need to stop burying the thing that still holds value.

For example…

→ Got an old offer that didn’t pop the first time? Repackage it with a new message and try again.

→ Recorded a live training last year? Turn it into a paid replay or mini-course.

→ Taught something in a group setting? Offer it as a 1:1 service instead.

→ Have unused content on your phone or Google Drive? Turn it into a blog post, lead magnet, or carousel.

→ Used to make products or sell something physical? Bring it back seasonally—or try a pre-order model.

→ Have a story that people always ask you about? Turn it into a keynote, class, or digital guide.

Sometimes the seed for your next is in what you already planted.

You just haven’t watered it.

So this week, I want to ask you:

What’s already in your hands?

Because if you’re waiting for the perfect moment, the full clarity, or the big break… you might miss the blessing that’s already sitting in front of you.

You might be trying to build a ladder when God already handed you a door.

So don’t ignore it. Don’t delay it. Don’t downplay it.

You’re not behind—you’re just being reminded.

And what’s in your hands right now might be the very thing God uses to lead you forward.
